The FTA experience
Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 6 p.m.
FTA’s Quartier général-QG
Agora Hydro-Québec du Cœur des sciences de l’UQAM
175, Président-Kennedy Avenue, Montreal
Join 250 guests from the art and business worlds for FTA’s 2024 benefit evening featuring Catherine Gaudet’s show ODE.
Recipient of the Grand prix de la danse de Montréal in 2022, Gaudet is without question a major choreographer on the contemporary dance scene whose renown extends beyond the borders of Quebec and Canada.
Following the dazzling success of Les Jolies choses, the choreographer will treat FTA audiences to the world premiere of her latest creation: an ambitious work delivered by an extraordinary cast of ten performers—her biggest ensemble to date.
Part pop-pagan procession, part self-help ritual, ODE features the stripped-down, complex figures of fractal logic that are a recurring element in Gaudet’s work, while also introducing a cappella singing to evoke states of ecstasy or captivation.
