Participants wanted for major outdoor show at FTA 2024
This Call for Participants ended on April 5, 2024. Thank you for your interest.
Festival TransAmériques is looking for 80 people to take part in the show Multitud by Uruguayan artist and choreographer Tamara Cubas, presented for free during the Festival’s 18th edition. Performances will take place on three evenings in Montreal’s Place des Festivals, on May 23, 24, and 25.
Each version of Multitud is unique and specific to the city where it is staged. Its performers are local residents of all ages and backgrounds who take over a public space. On the basis of Cubas’ choreographic score, they create a series of stunning tableaux composed of bodies in motion. Anchored in the power of the collective, Multitud is a profound reflection on identities, community, and social and political movements. Come and join this inspiring adventure!
+ The performances are preceded by an intensive one-week workshop led by Tamara Cubas. Participants must be available for the entire workshop and all performances from May 15 to 26, 2024.
+ The working languages are Spanish, French, and English. A translation from Spanish to English and French will be provided.
+ Participants will receive financial compensation.
