Montreal, 24 January 2017 – The board of directors of Festival TransAmériques wishes to announce a new chairman of the board. Some 20 years after joining the board, of which he has been president since 2014, Gil Desautels handed the reins over to Charles Milliard during the annual general meeting on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
Montreal, 27 June 2016 – The co-executive directors of the Festival TransAmériques, Martin Faucher and David Lavoie, are pleased to announce the appointment of Louise Roussel as production manager. She will officially assume her new duties on August 17, 2016.
Montreal, 8 June 2016 – For the opening performance of the 11th edition of the Festival TransAmériques (FTA) in 2017, the citizens of Montreal will be featured as never before in the show 100 % Montréal, to be presented for four nights from May 25 to 29, 2017 at Théâtre Jean Duceppe in Place des Arts. After Berlin, Amsterdam, Melbourne, London, Brussels, Paris, Tokyo and São Paulo, Montreal will join the club of some 25 fascinating cites in the world to have been honoured with their own versions of 100 % by the German company Rimini Protokoll.
Montreal, June 8, 2016 – The atmosphere tonight at the Quartier général of the FTA will no doubt be one of excitement as the 10th edition of the Festival TransAmériques comes to a close. Over the past two weeks, from May 26 to June 8, 2016, 25 theatre and dance shows and events electrified Montreal stages during the FTA. This second festival under artistic director Martin Faucher attracted some 53 500 festivalgoers with an attendance rate of an amazing 97%, a new record. Keenly interested in contemporary theatre and dance, the public eagerly responded to the call of the artists, and in fact 15 shows of the 22 presented in theatre venues were sold out.

The Festival TransAmériques, as well as the artistic teams of LOD musiektheater, Mons 2015 Cultural Capital of Europe, Manège.Mons and UBU compagnie de création, the producers of the show, sincerely apologize for this unfortunate turn of events.
