She also portrays this strange woman who, yet again, stakes her life on a one-night lover. She winds up in a hotel room with him. Nothing could be more banal. At the same time, nothing could be more troubling than the encounter of two beings ready to deaden their solitary distress at all costs. The infernal duo plunges into human desolation and at the end of the night, delivers two bodies abandoned in a moment of ultimate tenderness. The first scenes are delivered with hard-hitting reality, and yet, slowly, as the production evolves, actors and audience find themselves intimately linked to one another. Theatre that risks all, body and soul.
