LA NOICEUR
Bewitched by her actress, Marie Brassard is literally swept away. While speaking to a dear friend who lives in New York, she finds herself at the scene of an accident. A suburban street, a school textbook, pages blowing in the wind. A little girl vanishes and a young skinhead dances with the ghost of his little sister.
The actress is overwhelmed. The skinhead shows up in Marie Brassard’s apartment, casts her in the role of the mother, someone able to give voice and image to his abject grief. On stage with a dancer/actor, Marie Brassard plays with voices, soundtracks and lighting effects, intermixing levels of reality. The audience is taken on a supersonic flight to a theatre that dreams of an ode to friendship for someone on the other end of the line.
