HYPERTERRESTRES

BENOÎT LACHAMBRE (B.L.EUX), FABRICE RAMALINGOM (R.A.M.A)

Shifting between hyperrealism and science fiction, this carnal, provocative duo grabs hold of the spectator’s senses and gives access to a secret part of our humanity. A mind-blowing phantasmagoria.

Details

The master of metamorphosis Benoît Lachambre will be performing at the Festival for the sixth time, shifting between hyperrealism and science fiction with the fabulous French alchemist Fabrice Ramalingom. This carnal, provocative duo grabs hold of the spectator’s senses as they continue to expand the frontiers of dance, tuning the audience to the frequency of mysteries, of life in movement.

Under the thick skin of a womb bathed in light, they are barely seen but are certainly felt, twins in a strange space struggling to be born. Lovers swept away by the fiery wave of a lovers’ embrace, liquid bodies hovering between floatation and eruption. Their rasping breath scrapes against the skin. Their voices merge in sublime harmonics. The sounds and sensations comprise the channel connecting us to these Hyperterrestres. And when the veil is raised on their habitat and their animated conversations, we have the strange feeling of being given access to a secret part of our humanity. A mind-blowing phantasmagoria.

FABRICE RAMALINGOM (R.A.M.A) (Montpellier)

Expanding the Frontiers between the Arts and the Body
A native of Avignon and an artist who works regularly with various presenters and companies in France, Fabrice Ramalingom now makes his home in Montpellier. He began his career as a dancer in the 1980s and was actively engaged in dance training development, and in passing on the dance heritage of the emblematic and sadly missed choreographer Dominique Bagouet.
